My path to joining the team: From green sweater to trainee in the Photogenika studios
I still remember standing there before my job interview – honestly, I was pretty nervous. The job posting and the incredibly friendly team photos on the website had immediately grabbed me, and all I could think was, "I absolutely have to work there!" To make a lasting impression on Tina and Julia, I had strategically chosen a bright, almost Grinch-green sweater.
And my little plan worked perfectly: I was immediately approached with a smile, and the ice was broken instantly. Today, I stand here as a trainee photographer in the Photogenika studios, and I can only laugh at my initial nervousness.
How major concerns became routine
Initially, I was quite apprehensive about some of the new tasks. Baby photoshoots, in particular, were a bit daunting for me, as I honestly had very little experience with such young clients.
And then suddenly there was a visibly stressed mother with a crying baby in our room. Instead of worrying about it, I thought to myself: "Let's just try it out."„
I was just being silly – and suddenly the little one looked at me with wide eyes and burst out laughing. Mom's relief was immediate and felt incredibly good.
What moved me most in that moment was her sincere compliment on my loving way with her child. As so often happens in life, things change quickly: Ironically, Baby passport photos My favorites now.
What to do when new tasks become overwhelming?
Just take a deep breath and trust that you'll soon be able to handle this with ease. That's my most important lesson here. At the beginning of the apprenticeship, you're constantly bombarded with new areas, such as my first independent tasks. Application photoshoots.
It might seem like a lot at first. But no matter how overwhelmed you might feel by a new task, eventually you'll be able to do it – just like the other things you've already learned.
A tip from us photographers to all trainees: Give yourselves time to grow. When I stand today, beaming, in my bright green knitted sweater against the neutral background, I feel exactly this newfound confidence.
Finally truly arrived in the team
After the initial settling-in and learning period, I now realize how much I value daily contact with our customers. There's hardly anything more rewarding than capturing genuine emotions.
In doing so, I discovered a clear priority for myself: "Generally, the most beautiful thing for me is when I can put a smile on people's faces and they leave the store more than satisfied."„
This honest feedback from our customers motivates me anew every day. The great atmosphere among colleagues in the Photogenika studios also contributes to this.
Looking back, I can say with complete conviction: "I am delighted that I feel I have finally arrived at Photogenika."„
Perhaps we'll see each other soon at a photoshoot, for example if you're looking for beautiful baby photos be. We love capturing your unique moments and Write to us directly for a no-obligation consultation..
