Honestly: Who lands on a company website these days and doesn't click through the team profiles out of curiosity? staff photos are often the first point of contact – they give a company a face, create trust and closeness.
When are individual employee photos important?
But let's be honest: How often do we still see stiff, impersonal pictures against a boring background? Yet we want to show who we are. really who we are and what our company stands for! This is exactly where we come from individually designed employee photos They come into play. They're not just a portrait of a person, but also tell a little story about a company's culture, values, and atmosphere. Whether for the website, social media, presentations, or internal communications – images that truly reflect the company and its premises make a huge difference. That's why I love on-location shoots so much!
The magic begins with the preparation.
Every shoot is different because every company has its own unique character. Before I even pack my camera, the real work begins – the planning together with you. We discuss your vision: What message should the images convey? Should the photos be more formal or relaxed? Do they fit the decor, the website, and the overall style of your company? It's incredibly helpful if you think about this beforehand: Which corners of your office are particularly attractive or representative? Are there any rooms with great light? Does anything need a quick tidy-up (don't worry, we've all been there!)? A rough timeline and a list of the people being photographed also help us tremendously to make the day efficient. Of course, we'll always contact you personally to discuss all these details and ideally also talk about sample images so we fully understand what you're looking for.
What we have in our luggage
When I arrive with all my equipment, it sometimes looks like quite a lot – but everything has its purpose! Of course, the camera comes with various lenses so we can adapt to different situations. Sometimes we also bring our mobile studio setup with professional photo lights to perfectly control the lighting. Or we have a classic, solid-color backdrop if that's what you'd like – although I personally love the challenge of creatively using the existing environment! And then there are the little helpers: powder to eliminate shine, a lint roller for the finishing touch on outfits, moist wipes, and lens cleaning cloths. Basically, everything to make the subjects feel comfortable and look their best in the photos.
The photo day: Right in the thick of it, not just a bystander
Arrived at the set – your office! The first thing I always do is a quick tour. I look at the rooms you've chosen, find the best lighting and perspectives, and then we'll have a final check-in. Then we set up, test things out, adjust the lighting… and then we're off! My goal is always to create the most relaxed and comfortable atmosphere possible. Nobody likes standing stiffly and insecurely in front of the camera! I'll guide you and your team a little, giving gentle instructions ("Look over there," "Loosen your shoulders," "What are we doing with our hands?"), and often the best pose emerges naturally from our conversation. We take our time with each individual so they feel comfortable and ultimately look authentic in the photos.
After the click comes the fine-tuning.
The photoshoot is over, the memory card is full of potential favorite images! Now the work continues in the studio. First, I make a preliminary selection – images with closed eyes, unflattering facial expressions, or purely test shots are discarded. Then comes the initial basic editing: brightness, contrast, colors, and the appropriate cropping are adjusted. I upload the results to a password-protected online gallery.
Now it's your turn! You have plenty of time to browse the selection and choose your favorites – and the best part: you can select the image each employee feels most comfortable in. Once you've shared your selection with us, we'll get started. Fine retouching. This involves subtle enhancements: minor skin imperfections, shiny areas, or stray hairs are gently adjusted, always ensuring the person looks natural and authentic – no artificial "plastic look"! Once the editing is complete, you'll receive a download link to your finished, high-resolution images and the invoice. Done!
We hope you enjoy your new, individually designed employee photos, which perfectly showcase your company.
