As a new trainee, my primary task is to photograph passport photos<\/a>. But you also have to keep developing in order to get ahead. The next step are professional application photos.
\nThe time had come and I had my first photo shoot exercise. I was very excited and yet curious how I would master this task. First I prepared the studio and then it started.
\nSince I've watched many application photo shoots, I tried to do mine the same way. My "customer" sat on his side, turned his upper body to me, tilted his shoulders slightly forward, chin slightly down and of course a friendly smile.
\nEverything worked fine for my first photoshoot practice once I got used to the light and got the settings right. It was fun trying out the different poses and seeing how different it looks and acts in the pictures.
\nDuring the second photo shoot exercise, I had my difficulties because my "model" wore glasses. At first I had big problems with the reflection of the flash in the glasses and I had to try a lot until I was able to get a picture that had no reflection. But if the light was right and I didn't have any reflections, I could maybe take a picture or two before I repositioned my model to photograph a new pose and I had the reflection in the glass again.
\nIt got better and better with my further photo shoot exercises with models with glasses, but despite everything it was always a small challenge to get a good application photo when my model wears glasses.
\nI think practice makes perfect. Of course, I will continue to practice so that I can do good ones in the future Application Photos<\/a> can do for our customers.
