Ever since I started my training as a photographer at Photogenika on September 1, 2012, I have been passionate about it.
What have I learned and experienced over the year?
It all started with passport photos. Soon after, I was allowed to photograph application photos and am now taking portrait photos and portrait photography to practice, which is a lot of fun. I practice independently with women and men from my circle of friends. By assisting with photo shoots for portraits several times, I was able to acquire a few things. I'm trying out many things and getting braver and more confident with every exercise.
I was able to assist in many photo shoots and external appointments such as company portraits, kindergartens and weddings and learned so much about lighting technology and poses.
Just a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to take some baby bump photos. At first I was a little nervous, because baby bump photos are a bit more demanding than application photos! But due to the many nude, lingerie and baby belly shoots that I assisted with, I quickly knew how best to set the light and how to position the mom-to-be. When I took the first photos, I became more willing to experiment and so many great pictures were created. I'm already looking forward to taking baby belly pictures with customers soon.
All in all, the year was just great for me! I learned a lot about lighting technology, poses, portrait photography and also how to deal with customers and I have a lot of fun doing it. I'm looking forward to the future and everything that's to come.
